Established in 1992, the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group is a Division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defence and related services.
The Eurocopter Group employs approx. 15,600 people. In 2008, Eurocopter confirmed its position as the world’s No. 1 helicopter manufacturer in the civil and parapublic market, with a turnover of 4.5 billion Euros, orders for 715 new helicopters, and a 53 percent market share in the civil and parapublic sectors.
Overall, the Group’s products account for 30 percent of the total world helicopter fleet. Its strong worldwide presence is ensured by its 18 subsidiaries on five continents, along with a dense network of distributors, certified agents and maintenance centres. The EC120 is the lightest helicopter in the Eurocopter range. This extremely quiet aircraft is also the most modern single-engine helicopter in its category.
Next, the Ecureuil/Fennec family is renowned for its multi-purpose capability and constantly improving, state-of-the-art technology. And finally, the EC135 and EC145 light twin-engine aircraft have been hugely successful in recent years–all of which goes to show that Eurocopter’s range of helicopters can be used to perform the widest range of missions and to meet the needs of the most demanding customers on both domestic and export markets.

The EC155 and the EC225 from the Dauphin and Super Puma families are extremely popular in the oil & gas industry where they are operated by the leading companies. Both types of aircraft are fitted with the most modern and effective autopilots on the market.
Eurocopter recently enhanced its range of civil helicopters by launching the EC175 in partnership with the Chinese aeronautical industry. This new twinengine aircraft can be equipped with 40 items of optional equipment, making it a truly multi-purpose helicopter. The EC175 will be on the market from 2012, offering customers safety, performance and comfort.
